So here is my little build project. I had a separate thread going on this but had a have had problem uploading photos to this, so i am starting a new thread on this. So here is the update got a permit, poured a slab and we got it bolted the frame down to it today. So here is my question it sits up out of the ground quite a bit and i am going to put a carriage style 7'X8' overhead door with windows. I am thinking about putting window above to help visually pull it down and want to put a light someone over this as well any thoughts? Thanks for all the help and input thus far Love Garage Journal. Also want to figure out some type of loft in part of it.

You can "cheat" by just using Microsoft Word . . . . . open a blank document and import the picture, or copy and paste. Then right click on the picture and Format Picture. Use 3-D Rotation and Z axis to change degrees until picture is proper. Then copy the newly formatted pic in Word and paste into Paint software. Finally use Save As JPEG format and rename . . . now picture has been properly rotated and saved as JPEG.

Edit the GJ post and use Manage Attachments and put in the proper pictures that are viewable. This method will let you put 7 pics per GJ post.

Good luck . . . . hassles with computer are no fun, but we do like pics on GJ !

Like the gambrel roof you have on shed . . . AND . . . that property is beautiful with the green grass and tall tree backdrop.

That's going to turn out nice !

I am also impressed with the roof. When I look at the building, I am seeing so many possibility for it's final completion. It will be a very attractive building in a very attractive spot.

For starts, is the approach to the door going to be as steep as it shows in the picture?
I would want a really classy door and a couple carriage lamps on each side of the door.
I would also want dual spot lights on each corner of the building. You can use the halogen lamps in them for great outside lighting. With that beautiful outside scenery, I would have to have a deck or patio on one side with a cover, chairs and table, benches, and a grill. Just me talking here, but it looks like a little piece of secluded heaven. Nearby, maybe a rifle range, storage building, above ground gasoline storage tank, well, stuff like that!!

Those are great ideas I actually got a sweet deal on a carriage style door and looking for some cool lamps. I will shoot a few other pics of my property what this doesn't show is there is a vacant lot next door and we sit up from the street a bit so you can really see this puppy from the street. I agree on the drive I want to extend the wall on the right bring in some more gravel and smooth out he approach. I am putting up the t111 siding that is vinyl coated going to paint to match the house

so here is current status all the siding is on roof is done, and we are getting ready to paint it. Hopefully this weekend i will get the floor sealed, and the garage door goes on tomorrow. Also planing on building a partial loft in the rear section. Still trying to figure out what i am going to do for a light would like to do a barn style light on the front any thoughts>
