Shed Build

Sorry this is my first build post and it is a shed not a garage but still fun stuff.


Well I started a shed this past weekend and wanted to post up some of my progress.

Here is the site I picked. It is in the back corner of my lot by both of my neighbors sheds.

I went with a treated frame for the floor on concrete blocks berried just below grade. I used treated 4x4s to level the frame and 3/4 tongue and grove plywood for the floor.

I built all of the walls on the floor and lifted them into place.

I pre assembled most of the roof and lifted it into place.

I have yet to get sheathing and shingles on but at least there is a lid on my box.

That looks great!, I'm really considering building a new shed, i originally went with one of those metal 6X8's. I HATE it. If you don't mind can you give us a run down on what this whole thing is costing you? Looks like it's well made! Looking forward to more pictures and progress!

Well had a little progress this weekend.

Got the roof done with most of the trim and all of the fascia and soffit.

I am working on a price list for the project but so far I am just of $1000.

What are the dimensions on that? I'm trying to talk the wife into a 10x12 but my estimates are around $600. (Similar foundation)

It is 8X16 with 8 foot walls. Makes it very easy to build and little waste.

Biggest cost is the siding at $300 here in MN,

Shed doors are on.
This is a 5' door.
