So we just bought a new 8x12 shed and it has the basic plywood flooring. I wanted to make it a it nicer and last a while longer while at it. I was thinking of sealing it and then painting it. Then on top of that putting down the racetrack flooring thats designed to handle water runoff.

Shed will be used primarily for storage.

Thoughts and Opinions?

I have been talking to a customer from Canada on a different thread about the exact same thing. He is leaning towards a piece of coin garage flooring from Better Life Technology

We hired a company to install ( not my idea). I'll have to find out.

>>> Wouldn't that trap water and make it rot faster <<<

This suggestion would be based off a properly constructed shed where the floor was off the ground and little risk of excessive moisture from below. The mats up top stop moisture from above.

I don't know about the moisture barrier but there are a few inches of gravel underneath for drainage. Would it then be safe to throw some racedeck on there?
