shed lighting options

I have a shed with a A-frame ceiling and dormer that should be installed on slab in a couple of weeks. Trying to round up supplies (panels,fixtures,etc.) for the electric work. Trying to decide if I should suspend LED light strips from the ceiling, or put recessed panel lights in the rafters.

I do plan to insulate, drywall and put a mini-split eventually, so I'm wondering how well recessed panel lights will work with the ceiling insulation. With the dormer, I'd prefer to keep the ceiling space more open kind of like a cathedral type ceiling. I do have some smart vent to act as soffit vent and a ridge vent for ventilation, but I don't have a clear path on what to do to provide the best combination of lighting, insulation, air venting, and keeping the overhead ceiling space as open as possible.

I don't mind anchoring some LED strip lights either if it's ends up working better with the insulation than trying to have recessed lights in the rafters, thinking about the air flow from the smart vent to the ridge vent.

Anyone have suggestions on what I'm thinking of trying to accomplish?

How big is this shed and what are your plans for it ?

Kind of depends on whether you are looking for a refined look or just a functional space. My 26x48 shop is lit entirely by LED single and double element shop lights hanging from chains and plugged into a lighting circuit that’s just ceiling outlets controlled by wall switches. (Yes, they are GFCI protected.) If a unit should die, it can easily be replaced, and lights can easily be moved or added if my needs change.

My shed is 10x16 and I'm looking to do some hobby projects (not expecting to weld or do any metal machining), woodworking, kids school projects, maybe some music recording. I sold my wife on it by saying that when the kids get older they can practice their instruments outside in the shed.

I plan to put one of those solar powered motion detector floodlights inside. Might as well as my boss showed me his along with the solar trickle charger for his quad.
