i would like to redo the shelves inside to add/ make better use of space in it

does any1 have pics/ ideas of a well organzied shed

it will contain push mower weed wacker a few pedal bikes and what ever tools and parts i can throw in it.

post pictures or give me ideas.

it already has electric to it. but could use way better lights inside.

When I had a 8x8 shed and that was it, organization is evrything. It's the big things that kill you. If it can be stored outside do it, ie gas cans, used oil, etc. I organize by how often I use the items and by what it's used for. I found myself starting to use small tool boxes or heavy cardboard boxes to organize. Carb parts into a tool box, spray paint cans into a box. I built a very small(narrow) workbench outside to actually do work on. Hang anything above your head that is long and light, nails for tape, saw blades, levels etc. I used some bungees to tie some stuff up. Continue your shelving up on the one side, making it narrow is fine, there's always small stuff. The other side I would suggest leaving bottom open for mower, air compressor, larger items and build shelves above it. You might consider a fold up shelf for that side as well to work on. Leave the bikes loose so you can just roll them out. Don't forget to hang light stuff on the doors if the can handle it. Consider even just a small lean to off the back of the shed with a bench under it, gets stuff out of the weather for the most part, it doesn't have to be very big at all, maybe 3 ft max out.

First, take EVERYTHING out of it. Second, divide everything into 3 piles: 1. Stuff to keep. 2. Stuff to throw away. 3. Stuff to give away/donate.

Then when that's done, divide the keep pile into type of items: Garden, paint, hardware, filing, etc. When you've done that you'll be able to get a sense of what kind of storage will work for the items: plastic bins, shelves, hooks, etc.

Looks very neat. Just curious how many ratchets do you actually use.

It does look neat. Neater than most guy's garages. When I used to have a shed, it was only about 4x6 and all garden stuff. I had to keep everything pretty packaged up because of rats. They can get into almost ANYTHING...somehow. Isn't that always a problem for antyone with a shed that doesn't go into it constantly?

Thanks guys,it was in the process of getting it cleaned out, moving stuff into my garage after i built new racks and put up fresh drywall and wiring.I don't use all of the rachets....you could call it a "collection".My dear wife got me hooked on garage sales and flea markets,so it just builds up.Sometimes if i'm on a project,i'll use a rachet for each size of nuts...so it speeds up my time fixing things.
