Shed Siding - how far to extend beyond bottom plate?

I was going to build the shed myself but keep running into lack of available time to complete it

So now I am contemplating having Tuff Shed build it using my existing foundation / floor

Tuff Shed has said that the siding extends 1.00 inch below their bottom plate which would only mean a 1/4 inch past my floor. I am a bit concerned that that is not enough to protect my floor from potential water issues

Thoughts?

You could us a piece of L flashing setting on top of the wood floor and turning down the joist.
