so i am looking to relocate my yard tools and ladders out of my garage and into a shed but buying or building a separate shed is out of the question for now. I am looking to enclose the under side of my deck to store my yard tools. I plan to put in a drainage system for the ceiling to keep water out.

My problem is i am not sure how i wanna do the walls the floor will be millings so i am not looking for air tight or bug tight just something that will be asteticaly pleasing and also practical. The space underneath is 8x14 so its a decent size space which i would like to make the most of.

I just did this for a friend tw9 weeks ago. I had to excavate amd pour a footing and slab and block up a wall. I just framed up walls and cladded with the primed t 1-11 siding.

It fits perfectly under the deck and makes good use of unused space.

If im not mistaken if it's attached to the house you'll need to pour footers and the whole 9 yards... But check with your local code I may be wrong

I did exactly what I think your wanting to do. I have a 12x16x4' deck that I poured a 4" concrete pad under and framed it in making sure the frame was attached to the deck leaving about 4" above the concrete in case of any movement of the pad over our cold months. I then used treated fence boards to skirt around the deck with a 4' door. To water proof it I hung 22g white metal roofing under the deck joists sloped to one end and a run of eaves trough to collect the water. This system works great at keeping my excess yard tools etc dry and secure without having to build a shed.

Hope this helps. Forgot to add I built this 15 years ago and it functions perfectly. Total cost was just under a $1000 so very comparable to a 10x10 shed.
