I needed more space to put all my electrical junk in. Our house does not have a basement and I wanted to keep my fairly new 1100sq ft garage clear. I began the process of building a block shed 16x20 which I thought was plenty for my needs....
Site along side of house with my only toy at the moment.
16x20 slab poured with 12" downturns and two rows rebar along the perimeter.
Blockwork going up. I hired this part out.
I had pulled a muscle in my right elbow but proceeded in dire pain to get the trusses up. The large opening on the left is for the tractor.
I decided to put a small roof/porch at the front to break up the large "top heavy" surface area. To do that, I needed a reinforced slab in case I needed to remove the septic tank which borders right on the edge of the slab but 3' down.
Myself finishing the small porch. I think it was 7'x20'. Not shown in the pic, are the steel rebars going down into the corners and center with a 6x6' block filled with concrete and 5/8" J-bolts. I did that while the cement was setting.
