Sheepherder’s, gypsy caravan

Didn’t quite know where to post this, thought it was indicative to pioneer New Mexico history. Thought to have been initially used to carry kids from Placitas mountain community to the town of Bernalillo which is maybe 6 or so miles.

That's a pretty cool. The carvings and remnants of brightly colored paint kind of points to a Gypsy Vardo. Where is this located?

I think it’s located in Rio Rancho neighbor city to Albuquerque. It was brought there from Edgewood NM which is high Mesa ranch country so this little wagon has traveled a fair piece. There’s many Spanish heritage, Pueblo and Navajo Indians, pioneer families that could and would have used this on their ranches.

One of the Youtube channels I follow is the Engals Coach Shop in Montana. They restore old buggies and wagons, and one of their recent projects was a sheepherder's wagon.

Thanks for the link to Engel Coach, Would love to visit their Montana shop. I can barely handle a 12 hr road trip in a modern ac vehicle can’t fathom how tough and determined the early generations were.
