Anybody have the specs on this? For sale locally but seller does not know if it will bend mild steel in 20 Gauge, 18 Gauge etc.
It is 36" long with individual fingers for bending boxes.
Tag reads 'Manufactured by W Whitney Stueck Inc. Essex Connecticut'
By the look I would say it dates from 1980's and could be imported.
No manuals posted online from my searches.
Any help would be appreciated.

Normally the model number indicates the width and capacity for most brakes. For example my Roper Whitney is model 416. It’s 4’ wide and will do 16ga. A “322” that is 3’ wide would lead me to believe it will do 22ga full width. It may do a little thicker if they are narrower pieces.

I know with mine, even with counter weight on, a full width bend of 16ga takes good amount of force.

That would be my guess also.

Can you post a picture of it?

Another spec they don't mention is the depth of the pan you can bend with it. A common size is 4". It has to do with the length of the fingers and how beefy they have to be to span the distance between the backbone and the folding hinge. There are probably more technical terms for those machine parts but they escape me right now :)

Take a look at a Diacro 36" for comparison, it is a 16ga mild steel machine. You can also bask in the glow of its price compared to the Diacro, new :)

That makes perfect sense-I hadn't thought of that! Thanks.
