Hey, guys! Had a question for ya’ll.... I’ve got a barn with sheet metal siding...probably 40 years old or so...the metal is needing paint and is rusting in spots, has a hole here and there and has quite a few dents and dings. Question being, can I put new sheet metal directly to the existing sheet metal? Without putting some furring strips first? The way I figure it is this will make the siding material match my other buildings, take care of the paint issue, and most certainly take care of the dents and dings. But my concern is, will there be enough material for the fastener to attach to by just going into the sheet metal? Or will the first big wind strip off all the metal? Lol
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
