I think that one is a modern piece made in the style of an antique. Not sure, but I seem to remember that the Sheffield brand was associated with Great Neck and put out gifty stuff like mult-itools and folding utility knives with mahogany wood handles. Edit- A Great Neck brand, not post-Imperial Schrade.

It was likely made IN Sheffield, England rather then by somebody called 'Sheffield'? Can't see the name on the picture.
Any chance of some more detailed close up pics of any name or details, and I will see if I can find a maker.
As you can see in Mad’s picture above the name plate says Sheffield on the small brass insert on both sides. I am missing both of those name plates.

Looks like you've got it! I've never heard of that brand before, the wood handle screw driver looks rather nice.

My local Orchard Supply carried those 5+ years ago, along with similar lineage Millers Falls tools. Forget if Taiwan or China made, very depressing either way.

^ One or the other. I'll have to try to remember to check and see if my "Sheffield" imitation Swiss-Army-Knife that I keep in my glove box is stamped with COO.

If you run a few searches online I'm sure you can find other "Sheffield" products like socket sets, drill and bit assortments, and screwdriver sets - the kinds of tools you find in thrift stores unused, still in the original packaging.
