I just picked this Sheldon No2 up before it got hauled off for scrap. It has this interesting die setup in it I guess for putting a V groove in sheet metal or a tiny press brake? Anyone know what it is really used for? My first arbor press, hopefully I can put it to use.

I made a similar small bending die for my Dake and I would think that's what it is intended to do. Interesting modification putting a spring on the ram. It is very inconvenient when the ram won't hold position and want's to head downhill all the time. Usually solved with a bit more fiction from the guide cap. Ed.

I bent some ~16ga the other night playing with it. I'll probably cut the bottom die off and make it bolt on instead of welded so I can use it for other duties as well. but it's smooth and works great.
