Shelving for a tv stand

Hello,
I’m currently in the middle of a project in building an industrial entertainment center and I’m having trouble figuring out how to do the shelving. My problem is that I want to find a way to make the shelves hidden so it doesn’t show from the side. As of now I have used 1.5x1.5 square tubing for the frame like in the photos attached. I am planning to use 1/2’’ plywood to fill in everything. I have attached the frame I have as of now. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, currently I am making an industrial style tv stand like the ones pictured, but I’m having trouble deciding the best route to have shelves without them showing on the sides. I use 1.5x1.5 square tubing as a frame for the build and I’m planning to fill everything in with 1/2’’ plywood. I also have attached the drawing with the measurements, all three spaces would have shelves. I don’t know much about woodworking so anything is appreciated.

If i understand correctly, just use 1/2 angle (looks like an L) welded from the front to back uprights on the inside. The shelves sit on top or in the L depending how you want to install it. It also will now be a support for the back of the size wood panel.

get some adjustable shelf standards & clips , hide them from view, paint them the same colour as your framework

Since I would like to use 1/2’’ plywood I’m afraid the thickness would allow for screws to show if i just installed the shelves normally if that makes sense.

A lot of furniture/cabinets have pins that support the shelves.

I think you want to screw, from the side, screws that go through the shelves?

For the most part, most woodworkers don't do it like that. One of the easiest methods is to use a strip of pegboard as your guide and drill 1/4" holes (like above) and use a cheap insert bracket. A piece of tape on the bit or a metal collar with a retaining screw will help you from plunging through. A dado is also nice but a little harder and the shelf is usually not moveable once installed. It's a 1/2" groove cut into the side/back panels that hold the shelf once it's slid in.
