Well I fianally got to paint the floor today,sorry no pics maybe later.I wanted to give some of you a review/warning.It seems very durable and will probably last quite a while under harsh conditions.I say this knowing paint very well although dont want to brag.But it is not easy to apply.It is extemely thick and wants to get thicker quickly after mixing.Also ,and Im sure this is a common thing among floor paint is that it did not dry all one shade of gray.Grays usually go on light and darken as they dry.This stuff dried in a few different shades of gray.All in all the Armorsheild 700 seems very durable just not applicator freindly.

Seriously, I'm thinking of getting something this week. How bad is it? Is this the stuff that replaced the Armor Seal 1000? If so, I think this is supposed to be self leveling which I would assume requires a squigge to apply, no?

I know I should have taken some pics.Ill try to do that today .I dont know if it is the stuff taking place of the 1000.It looks like it will be very durable.I had a disposable rolling pan liner that I was using to put my mixer on and used rollers and at the end of the day it had accumulated a good half inch or so of paint.The next day I tried to break the paint that was in the liner and it was impossible.I ruined 4 rollers but Im not complaining ,they are cheap.It was mainly hard to apply due to it being so thick.If I were going to do it again I would check to make sure the paint was all from the same batch #.I think I got some from different batches and that was the reason for the different shades of gray.Ill try to take some pics today

Are you sure you mixed it enough. I used a auger on my armour seal and had consistant coloring throughout.

I thought that might be a possibility .I put each can on a shaker for about 4 min .Thick paint dont shake well but I feel like I had it mixed good.The when mixing the base with the catalyst I used a vortex mixer thing on a drill.It seem to work good but there could be a possibility there was pigment in the can still but I dont think so.

Maybe mixing all of the bases together in a 5 gallon pail first, the batching out a gallon at a time to mix with the catalyst? I know that is how I did my pool paint last year (although it was only two gallons, a little easier to mix) I'll have to remember that when I do my garage floor. I've been looking at the Amerlock series from Ameron. (Availalbe from Frazee paints here in Phoenix)
