I have a bottle of Argon CO2 mix sat approx for 3 years unused. Still have pressure of course.

Would it have any problems with my MIG process to use it again?

OK I welded with it and it was fine. I even left the bottle opened for months lost a bit of pressure

? Thats a big bottle. Mine go empty real fast if I open the valve...
Hope you don't leave it open while hooked up to a regulator. Its a good idea to blead off the pressure from the regulator when not in use.

I always check the smell and then give the gas a little taste to see if it is still good. ;)

I'm beginning to sense a cruel streak on this board.

According to PukinHead the self appointed guru of gas on a few welding boards, you gotta shake the cylinder for a full minute after you hear the ball inside begin to rattle. Then again, how much advise should you take from a gigantic orange gourd full of slop & seeds?
