I live about one hundred miles from the closest Harbor Freight store. I would buy a lot more online but the shipping charges are too expensive. What do most of you guys do? Just pay the high shipping cost?

Answer this, what would it cost you for fuel, wear on your vehicle and possibly your time? How does the freight $$ look in comparison?
A little something I wish Amazon and other companies would disclose at the time of the order is, We are out of stock and it will take a ton of time to get, fill and send your order.

Most of the stuff, even relatively heavy stuff, is $6.99 shipping, which seems pretty reasonable. I got one of those 10X17 canopy covers to put over my lift outside and I felt sorry for the FedEx guy carrying it up the driveway, still $6.99 :)

.....$6.99 shipping......

Same here, $6.99 for many items.... including an engine stand.
I paid $6.99 shipping for the 7 drawer hang-on tool cabinet. I can't drive to the store for $7! But now I see shipping on that is over $20.

What are you trying to buy that shipping is 'expensive'?

You must be shopping a different Amazon than me. Unless you are buying from a third party seller, Amazon always has a delivery date.

Hmm, most shipping is $6.99 ordering from Harbor Freight online. Even the lathe I was looking at was $6.99 for shipping. That's a hell of a lot cheaper than me driving 30 miles one way to the closest Harbor Freight store.

I think their shipping charge structure may have recently changed.

I have purchased two of the HF tool carts in the last eighteen months, and each time the shipping was only $6.99.

I just checked the website and now the shipping for the 5-drawer tool cart (61427) is $90. Big difference. Looks like I'll have to drive the forty miles to my nearest HF to purchase my next tool cart...

The only thing I have ordered from them is some parts that came from California. The shipping was pretty inexpensive, as I recall, just a couple dollars or so.

I ordered a billion pound generator = $6.99 shipping!
My engine lift = $6.99 shipping!

I'm in a small town in the Hill Country and it'd cost me more to go get it and handle it. The UPS driver knows that if it's for me and it's from HF...drop it at the garage.

You should double check!

Now, with that said, HF stuff is packed and shipped by Monkeys! At least the cartons look that way when they show up! Just say'n..................

Same here- just took delivery of an engine hoist... two big, heavy, (mangled :bounce:) FedEx Ground Boxes. The hoist was $99.00 online, $6.99 flat rate shipping. I couldn't drive to a store for $6.99

Shipping for my 4x6 bandsaw and 58” tool chest was a lot more than $6.99 (~$100). It was still a lot less than renting a truck and figuring out how to get it unloaded by myself. The tool chest + $100 was comparable with competing chests so it was worth it.
