I am not sure if this has already been covered or not. A friend of mine owns a small dump truck and dozer. He needed a secure place to keep his tools and supplies (plus his sled) and bought a shipping container. I must admit that using it as it came worked really well. I imagine that adding the correct doors and perhaps a nice facade and some electric it would be very good as a small shop and storage. I am considering one for the side of my house to replace the shed that was 40+ years old. My town has a max of 192 square feet for a shed. As these are moveable, they would have no jurisdiction on it.
So, have any of you guys tried this, how well did it work? Pitfalls?
Of course, pictures would be fantastic!!

Yup there are several of us here that utilize these. My 40ftr is my machine shop and it's Parallel with a 40x18 shop. I installed a roll up door mid point so I don't need to egress the exterior door. There's also a 20ft unit parallel to it for storage. Thankfully both those are completely covered by two very large pepper trees. I painted them camo green and you honestly don't even see them until you walk to the front of my shop.

We use one on the farm to store seed and other supplies. It was a 40' double door high cube one trip and was around $5200 delivered. It works amazing for what we do with it.

I don't have pictures but could possibly get some of a farm that used 4-40 footers to build a machine shed that is 80' long with a roof over the 40' in between them.

I know there are a few build's on here with containers.

There is another I cannot find that uses a single container as an AMAZING metal/machining shop. Tons of stuff packed in there for it being a container ....

I looked at a few used ones up here and although they were about half price most were beat up pretty bad. I figured I'd own it for the rest of my life so I went with a one trip container. Because of that the high cube double door was WAY easier to find. I really really like having doors on both sides.
