Shipping container workshop-part two

My brother sent me a link to a youtube video for a utility building built out of two shipping containers. The cool thing is that they show up with prefabbed sections etc so they can finish onsite pretty quickly.

(I don't think this has been posted before--a quick search turned up this old thread here that has some other good info on containers:

What they are using are two containers with the sides cut out, and then infilling between them onsite, to get a nice shaped building.

Nice concept, but unless they are substantially less expensive, I do not see an advantage over a purpose built double wide job site trailer. Already wired, insulated, and finished by the manufacturer.

Yes--on another one of their FB videos they showed more detail--the bathroom, wiring, plumbing and structural additions were all done offsite--but you are right--if the onsite finishing is too expensive, the purpose built guys will beat them every time.

And it does look like they put up their website etc, and the world has NOT beaten a path to their door, and that may be pricing.

But as a DIY--maybe???
