Shipping/freight suggestions

Hey guys, i know this isn't a direct tool related question. I got an 80 gallon Devilbiss air compressor with a 6.5 hp A.O. Smith motor and dual stage pump at a great price ($100). The catch, is the motor just stopped a few years ago...it simply stopped.

So i am in the market for a net motor, i came across an older 7.5 hp single phase baldor motor for $200...i figured great price....the catch, it's in Holland, Michigan. The gentleman initially wasn't interested in shipping, however with some pleading he offered to, however shipping it with Fedex costs $200+ (to 14303, Buffalo).

He said i am free to look into shipping of my own, so i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how i could have it shipped from Holland, MI, to Buffalo, NY...at a relatively decent rate...i am not in a rush for it, so it is a slower method would be completely fine.


Any help is appreciated, and sorry if this is the wrong section.

Greyhound he drops it off at bus station and you pickup at bus station probably under 100

Yup! Just shipped a Tbird front header panel from California to Connecticut. FedEx wanted $190. Shipped via Greyhound for $60!

You might also try forward Air. Used to be a great bargain for small/semi heavy items.

That was the first thought that crossed my mind, Greyhound, however, there isn't a drop off station close by, the closest one is in Albion, MI...a bit of a drive.

I have a friend in Albion, I' sure he would help you out, and he goes to Baffalow to the flee market alot.

That would be great, and generous of both you and your friend. If you could find out if it's possible and let me know, i could just have the package sent to him in Albion, and whenever he goes to buffalo, he could just drop it.
