Has anyone ever used a parcel forwarding service from the US? I'd like to order some stuff from Pep Boys but they do not ship to Canada. Any first hand experience would be appreciated. Thanks.

Are you near the border? I know here in Alberta, we get things shipped to a shipping outlet right on the other side of the border and import it ourselves, takes a bit of time, but I tell you what, it saves a **** load of money...

I have, and it was an absolutely painless experience, after the initial signup. Mind you, the items were small enough to fit in an 8"x12" or so enevelope, so I have no idea what it's like for large and/or pricy items. The company I used was shipitto.com

Some time ago, when I was selling a lot on eBay, I shipped small items to Canada via the US Mail / Canada Post, with no issues, I guess it depends on the size and value of the item

I always imagine everyone in Canada has a friend or relative a bit over the border in the U.S. who will act as a parcel harboring service location. But I imaging if you're a few hours north, that's not handy, either.
The bigger question is: what does Pep Boys have that's not available readily at Princess or ???

I am in Ottawa. Most people get stuff shipped to Ogdensburg UPS store then go pick it up, but I don't have a passport at the moment. Seems like shipping Li-Ion batteries might be an issue as well. There is a supplier for the tools I am looking at in Canada, but PepBoys prices are ridiculously lower.Like $51 US instead of $250 US everywhere else. These are the AC Delco 12v stuff I was looking at awhile back. I'd really like to pick up the bare tool ratchet for $86 instead of the $200+ Staples wants for it.

Shipping Li ion batteries without tool is a no no. Latest news from my Us address warehouse. I usually use DHL in conjunction with the warehouse facility which is Shipito.com and I received the notice that the battery has to be in the tool.
