looking to have a 30 x 40 x 12 built.
Anyone ever deal with these builders out of PA?

Always good to check with the BBB, make sure they have relevant insurance, ask for a couple of testimonials and set up progress payments: certain amount upon delivery, certain amount half way and certain amount on completion. Good luck with your project.

some on here went with them. I went with lime rock builders out of the same area its the same building price was better and the job was done very well. I did look into Shirk and even looked at a few building they built.

I used Shirk and can 100% recommend them. They did a great job on our oversized 2 car garage with an 8' porch off the back. They came when they said, they were good craftsmen, and the price was inline with the others. One suggestion if you use Shirk, make sure they mix the concrete footings w/water. Sounds kind of strange, but they wanted to put dry bags in the bottom of the footing without mixing with water.I was home at the time and questioned this method. They said that eventually rain/ground water seeps in and will harden the concrete. I wasn't comfortable with this and asked them to add water and mix it. So they did, no questions asked. Again, it was a very good experience dealing with them and I would have them back again anytime!
