Ladies and Gents,
I have to remove a lot of these collars. They are retaining collars on shock absorber adjusters. The outside diameter is ½” and the shaft is ¼”. The shaft protrudes about an 1". Typically they are installed and removed with an impact driver. I have made the tool in the photo, but it keeps on just breaking the tangs.
The factory just makes their own, and they just break off as well.
Is there any commercial tool that anyone knows of?
I'm thinking of grinding down a small deep impact socket, if I cant find anything.
