Listed as "new unused", actually has owners marks
Watch out for a Snap On PPC210BK punch and chisel set that Ken Greve is selling. His ad stated “new unused” but five of the tools showed use, with one of them (the ppc812B chisel) having a damaged cutting edge from use. Most important, every one of the 22 pieces had “FFF” crudely engraved into it. I have a snapshot of the ad and pics of the tools showing all the owners marks and the used condition - feel free to pm me if anyone wants a copy.
Here is a message I received from Seller:
“I didn't think owners marks were a big deal, everything I've sold on here has been like that. I figured 200 bucks for a set that costs 600 off the truck would have made up for markings, since it's all snap on and life time warrenty. “
Seller asked me to use PayPal Gift, luckily I didn’t do that, instead I added the 3%. I’m having to use PayPal to arrange my refund - they just had me return the set to the seller. Seller just edited his original ad, changing “new unused” to “like new” and adding owners marks. Still waiting for my refund. Seller is "slow walking" the return process. What a waste of time and effort, not to mention I’m out $13.65 in return shipping for a tool I never would have considered buying if the seller had disclosed the owners marks and the condition.
