shop air help

Hello all,
I need to go from 1/2 in wall mounted shop air to my 3/8 in lines and air tools , Can I get some Recommendations?
Im a military guy and I guess 1/2in is the department of public works standard.

I would think a quick trip to the hardware store would enable you to make an adapter that had 1/2 inch quick connect on one side and your matching 3/8 on the other.

Yeah, the plumbing section of any hardware store should carry multiple solutions for you. Threaded, sweated, black, galvanized, copper, long or short.

What you are looking for is a Reducer Bushing 1/2" NPT male to 1/4" NPT female.

I would have to ask what this 1/2" is that you are refering to is? Is this an existing air system already in a building? Exactly what are you connecting to, a threaded pipe or a quick disconnect that is for 1/2" plugs or something else? What exactly do you have on the end of your hose? Is it a plug or a threaded end? If a plug what style as there are a few common ones and a lot of uncommon ones. Pictures would help a lot.

Go to the above link and identify what fittings you currently have if they are there. If you can identify the plug you need to go into the existing socket and the socket you need for the plug on your tools then buy one plug and one socket that you need and screw them together. Now you an adaptor to change from the wall to the tool. If you don't find the exact fittings then go to some different pages on the hansen site till you find the two mating parts and make the adaptor. There are way to many combinations of plug and socket for anyone to guess what you need. Good Luck
