Lets see whatcha got for when you actually sit down for a bit. I have the typical Craftsman but have another semi-custom build going on now, currently paint drying and need to reassemble tonite or tomorrow.

Here's one I made from crutches and a couple of old 20 inch bike wheels.

3/4" ply and 2" foam for a seating surface. Covered with old bike tubes.

I have that exact same craftsman stool and LOVE it. I'm 6' 10' and 300lbs and that is by far the most comfortable stool I've had the pleasure of sitting on. Back rest is in just the right place for me, seat lift range is in the right range, and feels sturdy when I sit on it and swivel.

Best deal I could find for a new one. Love it. Though it lives at my kitchen island most days. I need two more now or some that are better suited for the house.

Northern tool $50, often on sale for $40.

How grippy are those bike tubes on the old behind? Nicely done but I wonder about a hot sticky day.

They're fine.

Crazy, but that stool is the one people will try to snag first to sit on when they come over. Everyone wants the "cool" stool.
