What's the base and top?

Base is 1/4" plate, top is 1/8" plate with 1/8" strap welded every couple of inches. All clear coated to keep from rusting.

I got the camshaft from my company's trucking co. for free. Apparently, it was a Cat engine that went bad. I got a couple of pistons and rods too. I still don't know what I'll do with those yet. As far as where to source, I would check at a diesel repair shop. Be advised, the cam itself weighs 75 lbs. it would also be good to get the drive gear as well because it is pressed on and it would have more surface to weld to. Good luck!!!
