LOL, Would be just as cheap to just run a drain out the wall and piss into a pipe.

I just open the door, walk outside, and let it flow.

For now in the shop, we let it flow into the open floor drain filled with dirt. Rinse it down with a little H2O. This happens during the daylight hours. When it's dark, open the door, walk around to the side of the shop and let it go. I had to tell my 5 yr old that we can't take a leak outside when it is light out cause people can see. Just a week or two after we moved to our new place(Oct 2011) he was outside taking a leak next to the house. It was pretty funny but what are the neighbors going to think of the new people whose kids pee by the side of the house. No matter. It will be a memory we can tease him about when he's older. At some point, I may run a pipe out of the side of the shop.

Years ago we used to hang out at the local body shop. The primary appliance in this shop was the refrigerator full of beer........... Pabst Blue Ribbon I believe. It was a local gathering place for all us bums.

In a small storage room off to the side they had a hole drilled through an outside wall with a funnel and hose attached. I couldn't begin to guess how many gallons flowed through that funnel.

I've been in a couple of rest areas that have those...The place smelled like everyone had pissed on the floor.

+1, the smell is worse than ******* on the side of the shop.
I picked up a real urinal at the flea market for 5 bucks, but havent got around to installing, will need to run water and tie into sewer line.
Me and the Buds just step around behind the shop......And "let it flow, let it flow, let it flow"

I have waterless urinals at work. They don't smell, IF the solution in the trap is "refreshed" as required. If people piss all over the floor and nobody cleans it up, well, I guess you know what it smells like.

Those waterless urinals don't work at all. The filter/trap gets clogged and never works right, then the whole thing fills up with piss if people keep using it. The smell is horrid, just imagine a hot bathroom with 50 guys using the damn thing and it's not draining? Not cool.

To me it's worth 40,000 gallons to have it go down the drain for good.

Heck, I don't even want my dog ******* against my building...

I built this little 'outhouse' to hold my solvent tank, which it does.

But there was plenty of room to set a porta-potty next to the solvent tank.

Just as a urinal, can't sit on it, wouldn't want to.
At my age, I have to visit it way too much to tramp dirt into the house.

Easy to take down to the house and dump when it starts to get full.

No mess, and I use the chemicals to keep it from stinking. Although, it wouldn't smell worse than the dirty solvent...

Jack in the Box in all the local stores, uses the 'waterless urinals.
Lord they stink. All of them. You can smell it in the eating area.
Inside the restrooms it smells almost as if people are using the corners...
Fast food places have very tight schedules to maintain the restrooms, and you know by the toilet, sink and trashcans that they are being taken care of.
So I have to assume that this is 'normal' for the waterless urinals.
I don't go into Jacks because of this. You can actually smell them from the other side of the room when someone goes through the door.

Catheter up, you wimps.

That's funny..........I had to have one for 8 days this summer due to a complication during a hernia operation. Man was that little thing handy, when it got about half filled, I just went out along side the garage and opened the little drain valve...........Boy do those things hurt coming out, I've had 3 in my life, hope that's it.

Pretty much just go outside any other time, daytime behind a bush, night time along side the garage.

I've got a full-length urinal tucked next to the office wall in my shop, next to my wash sink. I don't have them finished yet.

The urinal is screened by a cabinet and book case.

I figure everyone's gotta pee while we're out in the shop, so there's no reason to tramp into the house to do that. If I need to sit down, I'll make an event of it and on the return trip swing through the kitchen to refresh the beverages and get a snack.

Plus, a toilet has a LOT of horizontal surfaces to collect dust and grime... and let's face it--most of us aren't dusting and cleaning our toilets. A urinal is a lot easier to clean.

Couldn't you just use a ****** fill funnel routed to the garden outside and put a flapper valve on the end to prevent intruders?

Seriously, have a couple empty wide mouth bottles handy for just that purpose.

Waterless will REEK as others have said. Also it is likely to get clogged up with calcium deposits and that will not be fun at all to clean out!
