Shop Bathroom Tool Cabinet Vanity

I'm building a bathroom/changing room (for a planned future pool) inside my 40'x60' shop. I wanted to personalize it with a custom vanity, so I'm mounting a bar sink in the top of a black rolling tool cabinet.

I started with this cabinet...

Added this Bar Sink...

Here's the sink installed in the cabinet. The bottom drawer fits fine. The other drawers will have to be trimmed to fit around the sink and plumbing.

I'm sure we've all seen the Facebook picture of this, it's cool to see someone do! You plan on taking the casters off or just immobilizing them somehow?
Now I wanna see someone do the transmission sink one!

Yep, I saw the pictures but couldn't find any build details. I plan on leaving the casters on and just screwing it to the wall to keep it from moving.

Yes, I'd really like to have done the transmission one.

I want to build one of those too...One of these Days.
I have the sink and Faucet already.
Looking to the perfect Cabinet yet.

I would leave the front two casters on, but built a base to rest it on top of.
A base thats just as high as the Casters, but has the depth to start behind the front casters. this way you dont have to clean under the cabinet all the time.

Looks Great and Perfect for a Shop/Garage.

Looks Great! Are you going to use some type of liner on the top of the cabinet around the sink? I think you will find once you start running water it will splash up on the metal top, the slightest scratches and you could have some rust spots..

You could put a 90 degree elbow out of the sink and put your peatrap against the back wall. It would give you more room for your drawers

To protect the top, you could probably throw additional coats of poly on it to protect the cut edges under the sink and top.

I'm trying to find something that will work for that purpose. If it becomes a problem, I might have a piece of granite countertop cut to fit.

But, your shop is a little larger. ;-) I do like your build.

No, there wasn't much flex as the sink is more rigid than the original top. Just to be on the safe side, I put a piece of 3/4" plywood under the top.

I agree with this, that is what I did on the one in my powder room in the house, and was able to get full height (but not full depth) drawers to fit nicely...

Cut a piece of hard rubber or pvc type flooring squares --- "diamond" plate or round "coin" pattern, cut hole and drop sink in...

Or

Paint it truck bed liner... Nice industrial texture and impervious to most stuff...
