One way to address the dear issue is a garden sprinkler that has an IR sensor on it. As soon as it detects anything in its area, it starts the sprinkler for a preset period of time.

Check out Hydro Critter Blaster Animal Sprinkler Repeller Scarecrow Motion Activated Solar Powered. Available at HD.

Well ODIS has pointed the way and I'll post a few pics...

I've managed to get the main are of the shop drywalled and am working on the paint and hanging "art".

I'm using a combination of old fence boards and new aged lumber that HD sells ready to go.

Here's the man door:

It's nice to be able to get to the lift again, I have a couple of jobs to do including putting the '07 S4 in Service Position (basically taking of the front end so the serpentine belt can be replaced).

The mini split in the photo was a self install DAIKIN unit with 24,000 BTU, it's basically silent and heats the whole space very nicely.

Hi guys! After 4 years of deconstructing and sand blasting/powder coating my Weaver WA-73B floor jack I've been able to finish it! The hydraulics were cleaned honed and rebuilt, and finally after building out a couple of benches I was able to reassemble, fill and test the beast. Over 4 feet long and 200 pounds + it's a solid (if large) addition to the shop.

It's not Don Long or Center of the Universe clean, but it might end up at the pin stripper next week if I can get it into the van...

We're looking to name him, best option so far is Dennis (Weaver), also good for Dennis the Menace. Let me know if you have a better idea!

Inspired by Thomas, Don, and ODIS i decided to go one further step and took the jack (not an easy task) to Skip who is our local car art and pin-striper. She won't get any chrome work so the project is complete and I'm very happy with the result.

Note that Skip variegated the pin striping blending the colors from one end to the other.

I was tempted to call or text you a few weeks ago when I went to PA and Sequim to pick up this maple bench and drop my bride off at OVER THE FENCE, but I didn't have your number saved to this phone.

I hope all is well in your world and maybe you have some updates for your thread cause I always enjoy your projects and work?

here's the 5 foot maple bench that was cut out of the prior owner's yard and he put it all together. it actually is 3 pieces that go together with 2 3 inch oak dowels/pins. i'll delete the pics if you don't want me cluttering up your thread so just let me know.

cheers

Drives, that's a nice looking bench! I have a doulas fir slab that a friend gave me, it's all cured now; just need to get that moving.

CN Spots, thanks for stopping by. Yes it is a monster! Funny thing about that; I bought it sight unseen on a government auction, I was the only bidder and when they emailed me I asked a friend and his wife to pick it up for me (again, not knowing how big it was) They arrived at the shop to pick it up and were told we'll bring it out...to make a long story short my buddy Chuck says that three "large Soloman Island offensive tackles" brought out the jack covered in 50 years of oil and grease and were barely able to fit the thing in their Honda SUV. It smelled excessively of it's history but they couldn't unload it (this is his wifes daily driver...).

I received a weirdly aggressive phone call asking when we could meet them to exchange and buy them lunch!

nice looking ride you've picked for your afternoon drives around your town!!

also good to see you posting on your own thread too and wondering if you've just been on vacation or did you make any more progress on that very nice shop build you were/are working on?

are you getting any of this wonderful weather we've been getting over here?

cheers

Hey Drives, just busy with life things. Need to get back out to the shop, plenty of time needs to be spent out there. I've got my desk built for the office, just need to drop it in place, apply a finish and cut a couple of cable pass throughs. Finding it difficult to get out there and create/build, but spring is here and that helps bring the spirit up some!

send me a private message when you are coming out next. not on GJ that much right now...

if you'd like to PM me your contact I'll put in my Iphone cause when I did last update i lost a bunch of them. we usually go up your direction a couple times each summer cause we love the drive, scenery and the food is pretty good too.

I finally put a couple 220v heaters in my garage so maybe during the cold winters I can go out there and not freeze.

here's to a great spring and summer before the PNW drizzle comes again.

Thanks ODIS build status is now at 3000 meaning GM has accepted the order as is and that it can no longer be changed. Should have a TPW (Targeted Production Week) in a couple of weeks from now. Yes we are both excited (well I am and Lisa's putting up with it). :)
