I have six cctv cameras outside my garage shop and home
My problem is spiders creating spider webs on the face of my cameras
Most cameras are mounted about 10 feet up on sidewalls
I do get my ladder out and brush off the cameras gently and usually get rid of the spiders only to have them return about 1-2 weeks later. On some I tried a spider spray to kill them and killed a $150 camera Is there a way to deter the spiders away from the cctv cameras?? I’m not heavily wooded so I’m confused where and how they are getting to the cameras. I do believe that the IR nighttime led’s must somehow attract them. Thanks p

OP if you do find a solution please come back here and post it. I have the same problem and it is a PITA. The cameras work fine in daylight but at night when the IR comes on all you can see is webs right next to the lens. A workable solution would be welcome.

Like the previous poster suggested, they like the IR light, use remote IR lights to draw them elsewhere. Also, Delta dust by Bayer is an excellent product to brush on near your cameras, no moisture problems, long residual killing power for spiders and bugs.
