I am trying to divide my shop for heat purpose's. Any leads on who sells large pull across body shop curtains?
the rafters are 12 feet high with a span of 60 wide. Would be nice just to have two curtains, so that they can be split in the middle for easy access to drive through.
Walls are not a option.
Thanks

You could have them sewn/made from fabric.

The track could be something as easy as unistrut and the "sliders" be made from something like UHMW squares that fit inside and slide. Super cheap would be to make a metal rectangle and then place a piece of milk jug cutout under it for the low friction characteristics.

Or possibly use the inexpensive tarps from Harbor Freight et al, already with grommets for sliding across a pole using shower curtain rings.

That's the route I went, though they slide across a cable rather than a rod. It helps knock down the amount of dust between the storage side and working side of the shop, but any uninsulated curtain isn't going to do much regarding heat.

You can see the curtain (tarp) in its stowed position in the photo below. I don't have a photo of it "deployed" on this computer unfortunately, but you get the idea.

I used to divide my 30x30 shop into a 12x30 section that was insulated and the 18x30 section that was only partially insulated. My furnace was in the 12x30 section with my machine tools. Initially I used 1” styrofoam panels, but in later years I just divided it with tarps. Since I was only heating it during working sessions, the tarps provided a noticeable benefit in reducing propane consumption and increasing comfort.

Thanks for the great advice When you mentioned refrigerator strips I found strip-curtains.com I can custom order any size with special tracks to slide.
Maybe they can also make a insulated one for the summer home crawl space to keep winter winds out?
Thanks!
