Shop Floor Design Help Needed

I think I'm finally ready to order the floor tiles, but I want some GJ input before I pull the trigger.

Basically my shop is a standard double-car garage. No vehicle or lawn equipment storage. A small, working shop if you will. I still kick myself in the *** for not doing this when I bought 2 years ago. Oh freakin' well. Live and learn.

The white grid areas are not used. The tile colors are red, black, and gray. The usable shop floor is 14'x17' (red border).

The gray tiles under the cabinets can be optional as they won't be seen.

I'm open for color/design suggestions and ideas.

I think it looks good, been playing around with floor designs my self. I personally was leaning towards a lighter color scheme, but you probably have that covered with the paint and light already.

I did mess around with light colors but I am concerned with staining. I know they say the tiles are 'stain resistant' but I don't trust them.

UPDATE:

I haven't ordered yet. I researched more prices and reviews. Then I received a quote from Race Deck. Wow...almost $1200.

Is there really a difference between Race Deck and the knock-off brands? The specs are identical. The price difference is doubled.

1200 for Race Deck and 600 for the knock-off brand.

What say my GJ brethren?

I don't know for garages, but we've been using race deck for years in the racing paddock (motorcycles). Works great. It isn't the cheapest, but from the other products I've seen at the track (used outdoors in all conditions), I think it's worth the extra money long term to go with Race Deck.

I would have to say spend the money and do it right one time. I looked at this about a year ago. It was around 2800.00 to do just one half of the garage. I started saving and hopefully will pull the trigger between now and Christmas. There is nothing but great things said about the Racedeck. Plus Made in America means no children were harmed in the making of the product.

The tiles for half the cost of Race Deck are from Floor Junkies. Same specs and made in USA.

I considered RD tiles and then looked at the others for value engineering. But the customer service that Jorgen and the whole RaceDeck crew sold me on it. He is the president of the company and wants to make sure his customers are satisfied. They give GJ discounts and willing to send out replacement tiles when an abnormality comes up.

I know there are other vendors on here that represent interlocking floor tiles, but RD is the only manufacturer that fully supports GJ and is an active member her.

Back to the question... The layout looks great. Centering the pattern on the visible space and not under the cabinets looks great. But, what will be parked on this floor??

No parking!

I have 2 work tables and a few power tool stands for the main area.
