I did a search but didn't find a ton. Looks like they are Taiwan not China, is this correct? I am looking for a drill press vise and they look to be good quality for the price.... anyone have insight?

Thanks

JR

Shop Fox is a Grizzly brand. As such their tools can be made in either Taiwan or China, depending on the tool. It seems that as time goes on more and more are made in China rather than Taiwan. For the most part Shop Fox tools are the same as Grizzly accept for color.

<O:p123House brand for Woodstock International, Inc.

In their About Us page appears the following: "... Woodstock has offices in Taiwan and China with its own quality control engineers that oversee the production of their equipment. Woodstock carries tens of thousands of replacement parts in stock for immediate shipment and is committed to ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. ..."

I have the Shop Fox cross slide vise. It's decent for import, will need some adjustments, cleaning of the shipping grease and relubing out of the box in order to work well.

I got if off Amazon and for that price I would say it's a pretty nice piece. I took it totally apart, re-greased and torqued, adjusted the preload bolts on the dovetail. It slides smooth now with no play in the x,y unit, however the vise does have excessive play. For the price I am happy.....I plan on picking up a end mill this weekend and see if it works as a poor mans mill...
