Shop Fox W1668 drill press chuck arbor removal

I have a Shop Fox drill press. I like all it's features. The fact that it oscillates is very handy to me when sneakying up on a measurement on a curved part for a guitar. In my quest to further eliminate run out I'd like to change the chuck AND the arbor but I don't know how the arbor on this machine is to be taken out. The chuck is easy enough. It's secured with a bolt from the inside of the chuck. The arbor I can't figure out. Does anyone out there have experience with this?

Pictures will really help you get the best responses. Or even the model of your drill press. Most likely you have either a female socket in your spindle that accepts an arbor with a male taper (usually a morse taper of some kind) or a male taper on the spindle that fits into a female socket on the arbor (something like a jacobs taper).

Depending on which you have and how the press is constructed, you would either need to stick a wedge shaped tool into an oblong hole in the quill and knock the arbor out, or use taper wedges to force between the bottom of the quill and the top of the chuck.

It looks like the spindle has an integral chuck mount (JT33); that means there probably is no arbor to remove, it's part of the spindle. If you have a dial indicator, check the runout on the Jacobs taper where the chuck mounts - if it's significantly better than something held in the chuck, then you might think about replacing the chuck. Otherwise, your stuck.

Sorry, I said above that you would need taper wedges to separate the chuck from the jacobs taper arbor, but I remembered only after you posted that getting the arbor out was the question in the first place and yes, that's not happening if the spindle has an integral jt33 taper on the end.
