I recently acquired a used Shop Fox W1712 Disk/Belt sander. I has been running very will for about a month. Today, while sanding, the belt just stopped turning. Motor is still running and the disk is still spinning, but the belt will not move. I can move it by hand, so I think I may have sheared the connection between the Belt Drive shaft and the motor shaft. The manual shows a part called a "compound block" that seems to function as the connection between the two.
So, has anyone else had a similiar problem with this machine or one similiar?
