mister honey pm me after seeing a pic of my shop on the thread...pics of floor colors other tan and grey. The inside walls are all metal, and mister honey was wondeing if that was noisey vs drywall ? Good question. When I finished my shop I had my wedding reception in there, about 50 people with all 3 12'x10' doors open and it was loud! but now that I have all my stuff in there i don't notice it a bit. The loudiest thing is the humm of 8' ho lights. My opinion metal is the only way to go. It's tuff and cleans up nice. hanging the tin horz is easier you can see the studs to screw to but the dust will sit on the ribs. When hanging it vert. example 12' side wall plates top and bottom .put 2x4s between studs at 4' and 8' running them horz on the 4'' side now you have 4 points to screw. a laszer comes in handy to get the screws nice and staight. hope this helps. If you would like to see the loud shop check out www.iowacoatings.com galley page, heres a couple pics of it now. hope this helps daye

Great looking interior. I am also leaning towards liner panels for a new building. Have done them before in an industrial plant. To make sure screws are in a straight line, I have seen guys take a stack of panels and drill pilot holes through the pile.

I used these too. I love it. Would never have it any other way. I ran them verticaly and need to ose furring strips (2.75x.75) run across the studs. It makes mounting stuff to the walls a pain if you dont plan for it due to the .75 gap between the furring strip and studs. I think its a good thing though as it keeps me from hanging **** all over the place. My shop is 34x48x13.5 and it cost around 2200 for all the tin and j channel. Since I dont do drywall I have to think it was much cheaper than drywall by time I pay someone to hang and mud it. Oh and for the holes be sure to stack up a few peices at a time and predrill the holes, at least on the long, full peices, the guy holding it up will thank you too since the screw wont shoot out and hit him in the head after it falls off the gun.
