Shop lights flash once when switch is turned off

I have six 4 bulb T8 light fixtures in my garage on a new install. Once in awhile when I turn the switch off all the lights will flash full brightness only once and then stay off. What could this be caused by?

if the neutral wire is shared from another circuit it can cause this. It's not really a worry but it annoys some people

The circuit does have a shared neutral but will be changed soon. Thanks

I had a similar issue, then upgraded the switch and the lights then came on normally.
