Was looking for a quick project and decided on a new awl.

Made from 3/16 stock which was heated and twisted, filed to a point, then polished and blued.

The handle was turned from a piece of apple wood from the yard and the ferule is from a copper pipe fitting.

saw those in one of the woodworking rags a while ago, woodcraft maybe? forget which one...always meant to make some of those but never got around to it. Yours look great and are making me want to jump on it this weekend maybe...not too late for christmas gifts! Nice job by the way.
