My shop is nearly complete now. 40x40. With a 12x18 office and a 5x9 bathroom that will have a rv style washing machine, small shower and toilet.

This is the shop area colors. The door leads into the office area and I have the exact door leading outside in the office and will have the matching interior door for the bathroom.

This is a room in our house. I thought to go with these same colors since I have enough paint leftover to do the bathroom and the office. I was going to do the crown and chair rail as well. The wife thinks I should find some more colors for my "shop office".

I never thought about till today and now I have to make decision soon as I'm about ready to paint and do floors. I was thinking linoleum since it's relatively cheap and super easy and quick to put down. I want the office area to be nice as I'll be doing some kind of business out of it eventually.

Suggestions?

Office walls pick thr color of your favorite car or team or dream car. If thats not feesable or professional enough then use what you already have. Its free on a way, at least not money spent today. Paints always easy to change down the line too.

As far as floors... Vynil is never terrible. Epoxy sure looks nice and is really tough when done correctly and easy enough to clean. But its more $ and more tine and more work thsn vynil.

The favorite team is where the crimson color comes from in the shop area.

I thought about going epoxy but it's going to take way more work than just throwing linoleum down. If it was just the cost I'd go that route but I'm ready to have it done so I can actually go about enjoying the shop rather than working on it all the time

floors in office vct tiles cheap and last for ever

I looked at those. I know a lil about a lot and a lot of nothing. I am not a floor installer and would be really disappointed if it wasn't 100% straight after taking all the time to lay it. I think I can do it though. It's just too time consuming for me at this time

Yeah if you just want done vynil is probably the way to go. You could easily enough change it down the road if you want a new project as well.

I guess the another thing to think about with office color is the idea of color psychology. Cool colors like blue and green are more calming, yellow it alarming, red for deep enery or possibly anger....What kind of business are yiu going to do in there? Pink is suposed to be pursuvasive and help witb trust and sales hence many businesses men will own a pink shirt or tie.

I'm off about 6 months out of the year with the job I have now but I could pick up a lil more work through different companies throughout the time I have off I like. Doing that there would be no visits to the office, just a comfortable place for me to do the paper work involved. I may also start building custom cabinets and other woodworking stuff out of the shop and then I may would have office visits. I don't plan on working away from the shop unless for a day or two. I have a newborn and just need enough extra money coming in to pay for insurance so the wife can quit her job. Since I'm away from home the 6 months I'm working I'd rather stay as close to the house as possible to spend time with the boy...and the wife I guess

Lol, i have a 2 and 3 year old and i hear what you're saying. Especially the wife bit lol. I guess that leaves it at picking a color that younlook at that will make you smile for whatever reason as long as your happy. I painted portion of my shop that is painted white for light to bouce off. Otherwise it would be quasar metallic blue just cuz i love that color and it would match my camaro lol.

Do you have any pictures of how you set up the bathroom? We are moving into a 2800 sq foot building this year and want to set it up almost identical to yours. Thanks
