About ready to paint my long, slow build cabinet shop. I am painting the ceiling this weekend just a plain ceiling white. Not certain about the walls though. I was originally wanting to incorporate some green to match my General tablesaw, a horizontal band or just he window and door trim. Any ideas, suggestions, etc will be much appreciated.

I’m partial to horizontal bands. Green would work for your shop.

I have red, blue and blacke72c75cef85719afad39d22041871230.jpg

I would continue with the white.
It helps with the lighting and provides a contrast with any tool colors.

If you do woodworking, I'd recommend finding something as close to "sawdust" color as possible. Helps to hide the mess a little better. :D

My shop I painted the walls a light gray eggshell gloss color
Has been 5 years now and is holding up real well
The ceiling is 8 ft and flat white

Pure white gets kind of blinding to my eyes so I'd go w/ a real light linen color which will work well w/ your green. I did my garage shop in a light grey for the same reason.

I chose a very light blue for my walls with a gray epoxy floor. I think it subconsciously makes one feel good.

I have good memories of the combination laboratory/office I had at the research institute where I worked in the 1980s. It was one that was painted in a color combination years before they went with a platinum beige (which I still like and use).

It was a "machine tool" grey down low and white above. That's a color combination that may get used again one of these days.

Here it is in 1985.

Horizontal stripe around in a bright color with all white above and another color below. Mines black with grey below. One day I will pinstripe the black with a rich blue or red. All my tools are grey or black. So are my vehicles are dark colours except the quad.

Is that a 78 bug on the lift? I'm planning on picking up a 78 bug next year down in florida. What's yours on the lift for?

Good eye! Yes, it's a 1978 champagne edition. I've had it since 1982 or so. They only made the Superbeetle as a convertible the last two years, 78 and 79.

I am now finally getting around to restoring it. It is on the lift because I am converting to disc brakes on the front. That's done now so will bleed the brakes today. Then I need to tweak the L Jetronic fuel injection to get better cold starting. If you get the 78 and it still has the fuel injection you can contact me with questions. Very few people are familiar with it and most mechanics and owners convert to carbs. Some parts are just not available anymore.

I'll pm you so we won't dilute this thread.
