once had an apprentice who didn't like lifting the new units for inspection like we are supposed to. we spread some oil on the floor after he went on his road test. he came back in and saw the oil on the floor. starts cursing and back out to the lot he goes. brings the car back in and up on the hoist it goes. lo and behold no leak. now he lifts all of them.:lol_hitti

Someone mentioned hoisting people up. We did that at a shop in the UK. We knew how high the shop dogs could jump so we'd hoist the apprentice a little higher by hooking the hoist to his belt & then set the dogs on him....He'd be swinging around & these two beasts (GSD/Rotty/Ridgeback mix) would be snapping away a few inches below whatever part of him was hanging lowest..

Industrial site here as well, plastic tool boxes are the norm as there light and easy to carry, anyway the fun you can have with a 1/4 inch drill bit and a few cans of expanding foam just after quitting time so the foam can cure overnight, depending on if its a we like you prank, or buddy do us a favor and just leave now, will determine how full the box is filled, as a prank we fill to the bottom of the tool tray so it looks normal and un touched, until they go to grab a larger wrench or something, then the swearing starts.

if we did not like you, the box gets filled up, good luck getting the top to swing open, and then once you have that, good luck removing the foam and cleaning your tools.

Wax is one of my favorites. A little wax drawing or message on a guys windshield is epic as it only shows up when it rains :) one time I wax a ***** on a guys door with an arrow at the driver saying 'I like 'em'. He didn't find that one for awhile. Grease is always fun especially on a hood latch or pull. I was installing a power inverter in a truck and someone replaced the ignition fuse with a blown one. That made me a little nervous as I thought I burned the computer up!!:lol_hitti After some guys turned a black snake loose on me in a box truck (I'm terrified of snakes) I wired the seat of thier truck to the coil and inline I put a set of points in with a piece of cardboard stuck in between. On the cardboard there was about 20 feet of string tied to a block laying in the lot (there wasn't any chance of them hitting anything so I was safe). Guy got in his truck and took off and when the cardboard got pulled out he got the shock of his life!!:shocking: There are plenty more, some have already been told on here but all are in fun!!

"Check-in the Part on the big box"

We used to place a box from a big part ( high-end bumper cover, running board etc ) by the parts office with one of us in it, and ask someone around the shop to go check if its the right part or look for damages etc, and when he goes and opens up the box the guy inside used to jump out of it... the best part was too look at the re-play in the security cameras !!!
We got one of the owners once and he got us back better, he called us all in his office and gave us write ups to all, that was on a Tuesday, so all that week we were all stressed out... friday came and he called us all again to the conference room to let us know we had to be there on Saturday for a BBQ and told us that the write up was a joke...
