I am in process of building a large work station (8' long) and am planning to freshen up some of the the older tools I have. I have a old heavy duty disk/belt sander that is mostly cast iron. I posted up the old 8" bench grinder I picked up, and an cheapo drill press that needs minor paint on the bases. This work center I am building will be a wall mounted work bench with roller bearing pull out trays behind a set of doors. There will be room underneth for my rollaway tablesaw/router workcenter to slide into. This center will hold 1 solid mount and 2 removable mounted tools at a time. So.. anyway, I want to freshen up the paint on everything and would like to keep them basicly looking the same without them looking "overdone" Hammertite paint is my 1st choice as to hide sins and the durability of the finish. I will need a second color for some parts, most likely either a dark or light gray. Using the light / dark gray accent, What color hammertite do you all think would look the best on multiple tools without being gaudy??
Here is the curant state on the grinder... about 1/3 done, I need to sandblast all the gaurds & base still.
