Hey guys I don't post much but thought some might find this as cool as I did. I've been looking for an engine hoist and today I was just out riding around with my dad and we happened to see one at a garage sale. We stopped and looked around and also found a cool shop press. The guy wanted $80 for the 2 pieces, I offered $50 and he accepted. Today was a good day :D

For some reason I can never get my phone to post more than one pic at a time.

Nice buy, Just check the hydraulics and all the fasteners. There are a lot of things you will find to use the hoist for other then lifting engines. Good luck with your purchase.

Sweet - I decided I needed a crane such as this to lift my trailer for repairs. Missed one last week for $125. I can find new ones here for $225-350. Looks like you got a nice score with the 2 for 50!

I've been playing around with hoist and it works well I don't really have anything real heavy to try it on tho. The cylinder seems to stay up pretty good. I'm not sure what the load rating is but the cylinder says it has a 3 ton cap. I'm thinking I'm going to paint it, not sure yet. As far as the press that thing is just clean I'm just going to wash it up and hopefully find a nice bottle jack to put in it.

KILLER SCORE! Stoked for you and pops! My folding cherry picker and heavy duty big block engine stand came from a guy who used both once and garage kept them for a few years before he got out of wheeling due to his wife bitchin lol. I bought the pair for $100 and both were as new as you could fine at a store. LOOOVE those deals. Had many over the years .

Got any plans now that ya got it??? Got to have something to pull or press, or get started on a NEW project now that ya got them. My mind NEVER shuts off thinking of projects to do, things to build, things to make just so I can be in my garage and use all my cool tools :D.
