shop vac hose clean out help

so my shop vac got put in to NASTY duty today .

its got a slimy oily sludge all in it .

tried to rinse it out with garden hose no much help there .

anyone got idea's that work ?

hold the hose in a u shape and put some mineral spirits in it, move it back & forth , drain & rinse.

Take the hose off and soak it in a bucket of degreaser, I use purple power

Fill a garbage can with warm water and degreaser. Soak then wet Vac the solution and hose out the hose and tank.

cool man thanks . I always have 5 gal oil buckets around .

this was a 1 in a year or 2 maybe thing for me.

Throw it away and buy a new one. A new shop vac hose is a true delight.

if I did this I would toss the whole unit up shop vac's a$$ . . . this specific model ***** for quality and fit/finish in my opinion . and its a pro series unit .
