The weather here in the winter will be my biggest problem. There are two stubs for electrical conduit but they didn't run the conduit under ground which I don't understand. The price of conduit is cheap for that length of run.

I removed the bushes in front of the house since they were overgrown and had to repair two sprinkler heads. The pipe was not schedule 40 it was thinner, not sure of the number. When I got a section to replace I checked the price and there was not much of a difference between the two. The schedule 40 would not break if I had hit it with a shovel. Here is a pic where the fence post was placed on top of the water lines. They repaired the lines and left the fence above the pipes. I will move the post next summer.

I agree with Motofixer about renting the trencher; I rented one for 60 ft & was done in abt 2.5 hrs.....money well spent.

I was planning to save the old feeder wire to use inside but I didn't want to wait until I dug it up to wire the 30amp outlets so I bought 10 gauge indoor wire. Now that I am not saving it I agree that the trencher is the best way to go.

I plan on running two conduits, one for the feeder wire and one for low voltage. There is a line that was wired to a phone jack but the line contained many wires not being used. I don't know yet if I can use this as a networking cable or not. I haven't really looked at it close. I did try to find where it goes out the basement but no luck. I know the phone lines are in the attic but it must drop down some where. I don't use a land line so they are not hooked up.
