Shop work benches

Enclosed are pictures of work benches I built for my Dads farm shop this summer. Trying to get him more organized so **** isn't laying all over the floor. The top is (2) 3/4" sanded plywood sheets 36 inch overall width, 36" height and 115" overall length to fit in between the poles of the building along the side wall. Used (3) coats of clear high gloss polyurethane to give it a little pizzaz and then some Case/IH red equivalent for the structure. Now he says they are too nice to work on. I can't win.

Nice job! Buy a sheet of masonite and cut to the size of the top and tell your dad to lay the masonite on the unit and then get to work.

My dad would have those covered in shop rags, left handed gloves and scratched reading glasses in no time at all.

Those are beautiful, well-thought-out benches. Not everyone values a nice, clean shop, though. Good for you, though, doing something to help your dad out.

He's right. They are nice. If anything you could you them for a center kitchen island.

Clearly, he's a good Dad as he raised a good son. Nice job.
However, should you be interested in adopting a wayward disorganized Dad type guy in Ohio......gimme a call.
