Looking at this jointer tomorrow. I have reason to believe it is aluminum, not cast iron. Does anyone have experience with something like this? Is it worth it or should I skip the aluminum?
Couple of sites say aluminum, not all. Might be only the base is Al, which makes more sense. The spalling of the base looks like Al, but the top looks like cast iron.
Hmm, maybe spalling isn’t the right word, but the “oxidizing” stuff that aluminum does.
