Shopvac bag slipping off...

My bags slip off of the inlet after they collect a bit of dust on my 20 gallon. I guess they get sucked off when the bag clogs...

Regardless is there a way or an adapter to keep them on? I looked it over and it doesn't appear like I can even get a zip tie around it.

Bag and filter FTW. Filters last a long time and the exhaust air is clean.

@tlmartin84 maybe a different brand? I have never had a bag slip off. Some shop vacs have a slot that the cardboard piece slips into, but my main vac just hold them on with friction
I use the shopvac bags....this one doesn't have the slot, just the rubber seal and friction.

Some people use pool filter socks over their Shop Vac filter. Here is an example on YouTube.

Are you using too small of a bag? A bag that doesn't reach the bottom of the inside of the canister will likely pull off the intake tube as debris accumulates in the bottom of the bag causing the bag to become heavy. For example, the bag linked below is sized to fit up to a 22-gallon vacuum and is about 19 inches in height.

That's interesting. I thought SV went out of business.

The filter bags I have came with a pretty strong rubber band that goes around the top part of the bag
where it comes in contact with lower part of the suction fan shroud inside the vac.

That's a completely different style of "bag".

The bags that the OP is using capture the dust and keep the tub clean.

My wife had same issue but she was using a off brand bag.

Ok, gotcha. It sounded to me like he was talking about the little bags that fit over the filter in order to keep the filter from clogging up.
