Thanks for the link, I wasn't aware VIM had those. Although the fact that they exclude an 18mm is pretty off-putting to me. 18 is a very common size for me to use.

Ive always wondered about those style of wrenches that have the ratcheting part extending out past the body of the wrench as well. I can see how they would work well for a recessed fastener but I would think they would be too thick to fit in some places. Nothing a grinder couldn't take care of though I guess.

It's been a frustration of mine for several years that you can get a 100 or so different brands of extra long DBE ratcheting wrenches but, nothing in standard length. :wtf:
The old SK G-Pro offered a short set and Cornwell recently offered their version in the Blue Power line but, they may be discontinued as I couldn't find them.
SPTOOLSUSA.COM has this set that I'm fond of but, it lacks an 18 mm which *****. I like that there's a fixed boxed end for breaking fasteners free and for final tightening.
I was disappointed when Tekton discontinued their standard length DBE ratcheting wrenches.. I guess they sell enough of them :dunno:
As for the ratcheting wrenches with the socket extension, those can be quite handy when you don't have the space to fit a regular ratcheting boxed end. The offset improves access at time.

This size would be real handy sometimes but weird to do 9 mm but not 18

I have the Tektons. They are sometimes convenient but for the most part the double flex is a PITA to deal with. I want a set exactly like the SP tools but I need an 18mm with it. When I did research in college I made a 1/4" and 5/16" double box wrench exactly like the SP tools one (one side fixed and the other flex of the same size) and were incredibly useful for breaking 12pt flange bolts really quick.
